Description

This standard applies to cables, wires and cords (hereinafter referred to as cable products) and establishes the voltage test methods using 50 Hz (nominal frequency) AC voltage (hereinafter referred to as AC voltage), DC and pulsed voltage, as well as the test method using AC voltage of 50-10 6 Hz and pulsed voltage of rubber or plastic insulation, sheath or jackets of cable for current passage (hereinafter referred to as current passage voltage test). The standard does not apply to enameled wires and winding wires with paper and fibrous insulation. |
