These Guidelines on quality control methods and safety of biologically active food additives (hereinafter referred to as Guidelines) were prepared in accordance with Federal laws “On the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population” of 03/30/1999 No. 52-FZ (Collected Legislation of the Russian Federation, 1999, No. 14, art. 1650), “On food quality and safety” of 01/02/2000 No. 29-FZ (Collected Legislation of the Russian Federation, 2000, No. 2, art. 150), Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation of 12/21/2000 No. 987 “On state supervision and control of food quality and safety.” These Guidelines establish methods for control of Ingredient composition and quality and safety indicators of biologically active food additives (hereinafter referred to as BAA). These Guidelines are intended for legal persons and individual entrepreneurs involved in production and sales of BAA and for organizations and bodies of the State sanitary and epidemiological service of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as State sanitary and epidemiological service of Russia) carrying out supervision and control of safety and effectiveness of BAA in accordance with SanPiN 2.3.2.1078-01 Sanitary requirements to safety and nutritive value of food products and other regulatory documents. Methods of control established in the Guidelines can be used at the stage of evaluation and registration of BAA, in BAA development and production, import, storage, transportation and sales on the territory of the Russian Federation, in development of normative and technical documentation regulating the circulation of BAA. |
