Description

Goods manufactured from polymeric and other synthetic materials intended to be in contact with food products and environments shall not emit substances into model solutions and atmosphere contacting with them in concentrations harmful for humans, exceeding allowable migration concentrations, as well as compounds with carcinogenic, mutagenic and other delayed health effects. Hygiene and chemical testing of goods shall be conducted as applicable. ДКM values (mg/l) of allowable migration concentrations for chemical substances are main assessment criteria for hygiene and chemical testing of goods intended for application in contact with food moisture content of which exceeds 15%. Determination of chemicals migration level in this case is performed on model media (distilled water, weak acid solutions, etc.) simulating properties of the expected assortment of foods at time-temperature modes similar to the actual service conditions for the goods. Concentration of identified substances in model media shall not exceed specified ДКM values. |
