1.1. These Guidelines are intended to assess the risk associated with occurrence of fire hazards in industrial plants, and establish a methodology for assessing values of fire risk to personnel and the population living in the adjacent areas. 1.2. The Guidelines have been elaborated on the basis of the following documents: - Federal law "On Fire Safety"; - Federal law "On Technical Regulation"; - GOST 12.1.004-91*. Fire safety. General requirements; - GOST R 12.3.047-98. Fire safety of technological process 1.3. The Guidelines do not cover: - nuclear reactors and plants that produce, process and store radioactive substances and materials; - plants that produce and store industrial explosives and ammunition; - space facilities and launch complexes; - facilities for underwater and underground works; - facilities for destruction of chemical weapons; - military facilities. 1.4. In accordance with the Federal Law "On Technical Regulation" this document is of advisory nature. |
