Specific requirements for lean production in shipbuilding industry

The national standard GOST R 58589-2019 “Lean production. Special requirements for application of lean production in shipbuilding industry" was adopted. The standard was developed on the basis of accumulated experience in improving the efficiency of activities in shipbuilding industry, taking into account the best world practice in application of lean production.
The new standard defines the requirements for lean production management system of organizations involved in shipbuilding and ship repair projects to synchronize their activities in order to reduce the risks of non-compliance with customer requirements and reduce losses in implementation of shipbuilding and ship repair projects.
